Driving and Memory LossIf you are wondering if you should still drive.. the answer is no. As memory loss progresses, judgement becomes impaired.   If you are wondering if you should still drive… the answer is no. You have sound judgement. That is why you are asking the question.  Memory loss is progressive.  Loss of judgement – and ability to ask the question- could follow.  Is it worth your life or the life of another? Unless you are certain your memory loss is temporarily stress-induced or related to a temporary medical problem that has fully resolved.. ..do not take the chance.  Put in place the systems you need for independent travel now. that is, independent travel without driving.  STOP DRIVING BEFORE YOU NEED TO STOP DRIVING. That is the sensible, caring, loving thing to do for yourself and others.
